I Am My Father's Son
Monday, August 28, 2006
OK, so it is time to come out of the closet on this issue: despite how my brother and I incessantly make fun of my father generally (and specifically for being anal-retentive), especially when it comes to his tools and how electronic equipment is wired (and tied), I found myself following in his footsteps when it came time to set up my HDTV, DVD player, and laptop docking station.
Thanks to Mal-Wart, I now have 650 nylon cable ties which, as the picture illustrates, I applied in a very similar manner to how my dad would have.
I know, I know... I have a problem, but at least when I roll my TV around the cords don't get tangled.
So the first step is admitting I have a problem. I have come to believe that a Power greater than myself can restore my sanity...
Until I finish the 12 step program for nylon tie freaks, at least I have a decent supply.

WV House
Friday, August 11, 2006
As most people know, Kristin got into med school in WV. She will be attending WVSOM (or, as local residents call it, 'The O School') starting in August. We went looking for a place to live this past weekend and found a great house for much less than we were paying for a small apartment in DC.
306 Comstock St.
Lewisburg, WV 24901
For more information about Lewisburg click here.
- 3 Bedrooms

- 2.5 Bathrooms
- Gas heat
- Central A/C
- 2 fireplaces
- 2 car garage
- Lots of storage space
- Less than one mile from town
- Less than one mile from WVSOM
It will take about 4 hours for me to drive to DC for work, but fortunately I will not have to do this very frequently. Most of the time I will be working remotely from home or one of the local coffee houses with free WI-FI access.
I will upload more pictures taken from a better camera as we move in and get settled. We are moving around the end of July /beginning of August in case anyone reading this is dying to help.
